And this morning I set about my scouts in a batch painting style. I'd decided to paint the fatigues like the Cadians in the how to paint Astra Militarum video.
Not a very exciting picture...
Here you can see my mornings work. I used only two of the brushes for this.
The L at the top is fantastic, it holds water and paint really well and the shape is great for getting in smaller spaces. It was lost on my scouts to be honest, I really need to give it a go on a better subject but still was great none the less.
The M is the real deal. The amount of paint and moisture it retains is incredible. It took a bit of getting used to at first because I wasn't aware just how much water it would hold, thus making my paint too thin. Once I had sorted that out though I was flying! I would guess that this brush holds three times the amount of the previous version on GW's base brush. It meant I could get a lot more painting done before getting more which in turn sped everything up.
And finally, I had something happen today while painting that hasn't happened to me before... I dropped a model, and it bounced and landed in my water jar!
By now I should have come up with a better way of holding minis rather than by the base... Any tips? How do you hold your minis?
